jill & wes' wedding

Today I went to a blogging bootcamp workshop. I whined about how I take pictures so I don't have to describe things, memories, emotions, and the like. And how I'm a terrible blogger - I'll sit on a post out of the frustration that comes with trying to find the right words. It was then pointed out to me that I'm a photographer and I shouldn't feel the need to tell you how fantastic my couples' weddings are...I am in the position to just show you. So that's what I'm going to try to do from now on. Perhaps a few comments here and a couple of adjectives there, but my job is to tell wedding stories through images...and I should stick to it!

So FINALLY onto Jill and Wes' wedding!

I'm totally going to brag about these next two shots. They were taken in the dark. No lights. Windowless church basement cafeteria. And they are officially two of my favorite portraits. I'm going to yank these out next time I'm asked if I can work in less than ideal lighting situations. ;) But I really do love these "nothing but the girl" busy distracting backgrounds, just a lovely bride.

Love these little moments during ceremonies.

Wes really wanted to ring the church bell when the ceremony was over. He was pretty happy!

Their wedding party took the term "party bus" rather seriously. :)

These guys = awesome.

One of the great things about Jill and Wes' wedding was that they were able to attend their cocktail hour. It was wonderful to see them relaxing and being able to chat with everyone casually. We had plenty of time to get fun photos and they didn't miss a moment of their day. And while I hope I've shown you, I still have to say what a fantastic day it was.
